About

half a day to a full day

Zadar is the county seat and a city with three thousand years of history. It lies about 33 kilometres from Polača, roughly a 45-minute drive. The peninsula holds the Roman Forum, the pre-Romanesque church of St Donatus and the Cathedral of St Anastasia, while the waterfront has the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun. Zadar's sunset is famous well beyond Croatia. The city is also the departure point for ferries to the islands of the Zadar archipelago.
