Biograd na Moru is the coastal town nearest to Polača, about 12 kilometres and roughly a sixteen-minute drive away. Once a Croatian royal town, it is today also a port hub: the ferry to Tkon on Pašman leaves from the town harbour, and boat trips to the Kornati islands from the marinas. Dražica, Soline and Bošana beaches line the promenade, with the cove of Crvena Luka three kilometres to the south. The old town holds the Heritage Museum, and summer brings a run of concerts and fishermen's nights.
